Fluval FX5 Canister Filter

Anyone here familiar with this filter?pros and cons?Is it worth all that money or should I get a cheaper one?almost forgot-for a 125 gallon tank

I have a Fx5 and I think they are great filters. There is a lot of potential to them. The move lots of water and can provide micron filtration without bypass.

I have a 404 in a 75 gallon which works -well-its just the best damn filter I have ever owned so now I am thinking of this one for the 125 gallon

Only if you get one off ebay, not worth the 300+ they sell it for in stores.

Yep, I've got 3 and love em' all. Not a single problem since I set them up 7 months ago. Time will tell but I'd def. buy another one.

They are an excellent filter, I run one on my 125. Might be over kill with my small bio load/fish but they are sure nice. Pricey yes but well worth it IHMO.
