i should think along those line if it REALLY poses an issue!
wats PFS???

The ray's bellies r as pink as they normally would b, nothin extraordinary to suggest soreness.

Rays bellies shouldnt be pink either. Sounds Like you are on the right track with changing substrate. Good luck and keep us updated

check your nitrite level if its high it will make belly pink.also have mine in bare bottom tank with stand painted black.I have no problems with FRT chasing reflection he is in 300 gallon tank by its self.took big bites out of fish fins every now and then.I change all the water every week and it seems to work well for me.If I do not change water for longer than a week,It gets a pink belly. I keep some soft dog plastic chew toys that float and he likes to play with them.

been looking around for PFS, seems the size available is 0.4-0.8mm mix from the Spanish brand ASTRAL
is this product recommendable, & the grain size is fine???
@ approx $20 for 110 lbs (50 kg)
how much of it would i need to cover a 6*2 base tank???

check your water quality I do not think its the substrate I think its poor water quality because your rays should not have any pink ether. Like I said before check nitrite level and ammonia
