granted, not all programs are like this. but any of the hard sciences at U of T were brutal..

I graduated from University of Maryland. We are an extremely well-known university, and are consistently ranked in the top 50 universities in the world. Additionally, the Economics program that I graduated from is ranked in the top 20 in the country.

On that website, you can do a search for any class currently being offered in the spring 2010 semester, as well as past classes. I did a quick search for classes with a GPA < 1.0. I found 0 classes that had an actual GPA less then 1.0. (I found multiple classes with a GPA of "0"; most likely they are new classes).
Once again, colleges do "weed out" students. I walked with roughly 450 students at my graduation. Over 1300 of us entered the Economics program my freshman year. This means that the Economics program "weeded out" approx. 65% of the students.

This was a close FML, but nearly diverted. I had to buy 3 guy/women magazine for an essay. I got the three guy ones easily and hastily picked out 3 girl ones. Well on one of the girl ones there was a Kotex(google it for the youngies or if you don't know what they are) sample on the back. I luckily felt something and saw it and put it back down and got another. So as I said a FML point diverted luckily.

haha but it never really said to post personal FML.
My favorite worldly possession is my 73" DLP I bought last year, it's a beast. Last week the warrantee expired, this morning the projector bulb blew out. I just ordered what's basically a $130 light bulb, and it's not even going to grow any corals... fml.
