My lfs sells red peacocks all the time...... he rarley gets them in and when he does i buy them but i've ben short on money.. he sells 1 1/2 " for around 40$ ( i think.... its either 40 or 6$)

They are considered a food fish and it is near impossible to export. Also if I'm not mistaken they are from a few small areas so they aren't common anyways. As far as I know they have never been available in the US market.

There are currently about a dozen specimens in the U.S.

I have to wait 4 weeks untill i can get fish... my tank had a big power outageand almost all my fish died.... i had 8 fish now im stuck with 4 and im afraid they arent gona make it... hurray for me loosing power while i was gone and my filter stopping...

Like scat says... there are a few in the U.S. now. Also there are a few of us that have some stock from the Sao Benedito river. That is where they are known to be present. We'll just have to wait and see what they turn into!
