About 2 years ago there were two shipments of baby PBass that were captured in the Teles Pires river sent to Japan. I had 3 of these PBass imported from the first shipment. They ended up NOT being Fogo. :( Still a very nice PBass however.

The second shipment were Fogo. At this time I know that Japan has some but none are for sale and no more have been exported from Brazil. The pictures I've seen look just like a mono when young. As the fish have grown they have developed the bright red coloration which is present all the time. Not just at breeding time. I suspect when they breed they will intensify even more.

Someday they will be available again. Start saving your money now however because they ain't cheap!!
 
i have been saving since the first time i saw a pic here on mfk,I WILL HAVE ONE,or two
