What you should do? Sexing either of these fish visually is most likely impossible. I would just enjoy the mix you have and not add anymore aros. Seems that you have been one of the few that has been able to keep a jar and silver together, although the jar still could snap. Do you have plans for if the jar does start attacking the silver aro?

I am happy-
I was just curious if ne one could tell me an answer was all...

I guess they are just tank mates-Period....They were donated to me-I dont even know if they came from the same owner-They could have been raised together from a small age from all I know...

I got plenty of other tanks the jar could be housed in...Not a problem in that dept....

how long have the 2 aros been in the same tank ?

you should get a video clip to show what you mean or pic :D

the aros are much to young to breed i dont know about jar or silvers but asian aros need to be 4yrs +that would make your silver aro much bigger than it is

i may be wrong but from what you are saying it sound like your jar is getting ready to kick the silvers butt

Not sure on how long the aro's have been together-They were donated to me.....They have only been in my tank together for about a month now...

My camcorder sucks unfortunately-No need for a vid that can't be seen...

Good to know they are too young...

Dont think the jar is getting ready to kick ne one's ass honestly-Out of all my fish in this tank-he is the only one with fin nips now-I believe it's going to be the other way around eventually....Unless they decide to settle down...

Thanks for the info Sir...Much appreciated...

good luck with the mix
