A lot of you need to get off his back about this. I completely agree with what he is trying to do, and if it works out in the long-run, it will be worth it. And if not, it was worth a try. HKN, you are now apart of my sig, lol.
Any updated pics? How has the aggression been with the Wolf?

haha...

Welcome to the "Next Level" I am not sure if we are up or down a level.

well for you...it is quite appearant that you are a level or 2 down...btw, just like all my past JDM tanks...everything is still fine so i'm definitely a few levels up from you...

let me know when you actually want to go "forward" so i can teach you how to be a real MFKer, haha...

it is sad to see you go backwards...next thing you know you will be giving advice about keeping betta in a small bowl :ROFL::ROFL:

spend some of your hard earn money and get some real monster fish and then we can continue..until then join the plant tank forum or something....

to the rest of the members reading this thread...just leave "reverse" alone, ignore him like a annoying little boy and let's get back to sharing new ways of keeping great fish...people like him doesn't contribute and tends to not grow or learn...obvious from his ignorance about experimenting and pushing the envelope...;)

Gotta love a good agruement.
Anyway, any updates??? Haven't heard anything for awhile now.

will have new pics up tomorrow...

Thats JDM for sure!

Well it's obvious he knows how to take care of fish, although I don't particularity care for how he houses them, but then again not my fish. If he can keep them alive more power to him.

I just don't like how every time he tries to shove big fish into small tanks he tries to justify it. I commend you for keeping the fish you keep, but sometimes it seems as though you try to keep fish in your tank to piss other people off. I don't even mean to belittle you, as it seems you are immune to that, but you don't have to throw a bunch of fish in a tank to "prove" others wrong.

What ever happened to keeping fish and teaching others about them, rather than rubbing it in their noses

Just got done reading this whole thread. Always love your JDM tanks bro!! Merry Christmas and let the haters hate. The craziness to your experiments keep me wanting to see more updates, so...... Please update!!! Would love to see more pics!!

This is crazy, there has been so many dumb statements that this thread is actually humerous.
What is this about ungrooved or grooved? Is this another way of saying to someone how lowly they are and therefore trying to embarass them enough that they wont ome back?!?!?!
Also the OP said that anybody will kill fish somewhere along the line... this is stupid! our job as a fish forum is to try to AVOID killing fish.
Also why try this with expensive fish and Azuls?
Cramming fish into aquariums will not let fish thrive but survive... PLEASE PEOPLE let your fish have the room they deserve

Does this mean no more fish hobby?

I have been reading this thread for a while now and was undecided on if I should say anything, but I can't stand it anymore.

I can't believe some of the mis-information that is going around here, especially on JDM tanks. This whole thread's purpose was to stick it in the face of the so called experts, but it is still early days yet. I am not one to shy away from mixing fish and I tried to mix an Amapa Aimara in a 1200g tank and failed,(I am not ashamed to admit it) no fish were lost but the injuries were horrific to other fish and the Aimara itself sustained quite a few battle scars too. I eventually moved it to a tank by its self before any fish was seriously hurt.

Some of you are so imature it is not funny anymore, comments like "if you would spend some cash" and "taking it to the next level". I am afraid there are a lot of people that are way above the level in this thread and I am talking keeping fish and nothing else here. As for the money debate, the fish in this thread was sold for 1/10th the price that Aimaras were going for a few years ago, so my advise is to stop with the "big man I spent a couple thousand bucks of fish" routine. There are so many more people out there that respect their fish and who have spent a lot more coin then what is being thrown around here.

I just hope that our hobby is not heading in the dirrection that this thread is going or it will be lost for sure. I just hope some of the people that are carrying on like they are doing something for the hobby by endorsing this kind of behaviour will take another look in the mirror, b/c as I said before I don't mind people doing things differently, but doing it for the right reasons and knowing when to stop makes you a bigger person than someone who is willing to sacrifice a fish just b/c they have the money.

Grow up.

Not the way I would keep that kind of special fish in a tank, but hope it heals up soon and starts looking really awesome! What you feeding?

Grow up.

there are many directions in every hobby...like cars...

so going down a track at 200mph could be considered stupid since you could die and going in circles like NASCARs to me is stupid...2 different directions right????? some people like one and some like the other...some thinks one is dangerous and some think it is cool....

point it...keep you comments to yourself and let us decide how things "should" be done as we please...

the price of these fish is 1/10th of what it use to be but people still can't afford them like a jardini...therefore, it is still a relatively rare fish to keep...

if you want space to stimluate the fish natural environment you will need more than what you have....maybe JOHNPTC and a few others could claim that...;)

there's risk in everything...some of us like to take more than others...again, our fish, our choice...:)...if it bothers you then don't look...it's that simple...

didn't your parents teach you that as you were "growing up"? :D

market shrimp and it is healing pretty good...i need to keep a few extra nets a these days though hahaha

David this thread has nothing to do with "next level" or real time exrerimentation with cohabitation. This thread is about attention. I am guilty as well, in all honesty I should ignore these threads, by responding we do nothing but feed the immaturity of the OP.

I too hope that the hobby will not become overcome with the "pour the fish in the tank and take photos for the the internet" crowd. There is no attempt at longevity, breeding or even harmony in these tanks.

To sum up this thread, you can tell the intelligence of a poster when they use more emoticons in their posts than words. They basically communicate with pictures.

Everybody have a great Christmas.
