lol they did a fine job of ruining the hummer name with that one i love watching the show cops on the west coast must pull over a h2 with chrome spinners every episode

I drove a REAL hummer when I was in the national guard. They are kick ass, not like the H2. But they are noisy diesel gas hogs, and it's a bumpy ride. This is the only real SUV.

the DANA factory tested their parts for the Hummer (not H2) by lifting it 10' in the air and dropping it, and re-engineering things to make them not break. Thats what the DANA sales rep told me anyway lol

seen the army put the hummer through hell on the tube makes my jeep look like a tonka toy its the real deal for off roading itll go places a tank gets stuck in thats why i laugh every time i pass a h2 on the road always shiny and have a ad on the window for a company show boats

Damn, the Australian Ford Falcon is supposed to be a pretty cool car. A rear-driver w/ decent power and handling! Well, since this appears to be a bag on Ford thread, I'll pass on a few well-known acronyms:

Found On Road Dead
Found On Reservation Dump
F%^&ed On Race Day
First On Race Day
Fix Or Repair Daily

my 1999 chevy truck has 150,000 and never even used the warranty

here's some personal exprience.

My girlfriend's Crown Vic is a police cruiser. It's a 1995 with the 4.6L V8. On the original motor and transmission, it has over 230,000 miles and doesn't make a peep. Problems are that the back windows fell off their tracks and it needs a new ball joint. I can't complain about that after that many miles.

My parents had a 1988 Taurus Wagon. The motor came brand new with a goofy coating on the pistons that wore off and caused piston slap at 15,000 miles, all the trim was tightened down too tight and cracked, it was never in alignment no matter how many trips to the shop, and it ate tires in 20,000 mile intervals. dad was happy when mom stuffed it under a truck.

I bought an 03 Taurus. It's a great car...so far.

My 67 C10 sat for 8 years before I bought it. it's a 250 I6, 3spd column shift manual with 3.73's in the pumpkin. New ignition system (points, cap, plugs, wires) and a rebuilt carb, and it fired right up with the original motor, 8 year old oil and antifreeze, and the original starter. Soon after that, we moved and used that truck for much of the move. It's never broken down on me and has been completely trouble free.

Bought a 1992 Grand prix. Brand spanking new engine put in by an ASE mechanic at an ASE shop. Within 2 months, the alternator died. For those of you that have never changed the alt on a 3.1L in one of those turds, it's an experience, and I hope you don't have fat hands. 3 weeks later, it died again. Replaced it, and it held until Christmas break when the throttle cable started stretching. Fixed that. Then it knocked something out of alignment, and it ate the front tires. The body was rotting out, nothing worked, the seats were falling apart and with an idle oil pressure of 40 PSI, it started knocking in the bottom end. I passed that turd off to someone else. Bought it for $1000, sold it for $200 after putting I don't know how many dollars in it. The best thing...when I sold it? 115,000 miles.

My 83 delta has had more problems than I can count. So far, if you can see it, it's been replaced. New intake, alternator, starter, PS pump and lines, new belts, 3 new thermostats, new carbeurator, new radiator, new heater core, new ball joints, an entirely new engine wiring harness, new computer, new wiper motor, new turn signal stalk, dimmer switch and horn relay, 3 new batteries, all 4 headlights are new, all 4 taillight bulbs are new, new fuel sending switch, all new fuel lines, all new brakes, new wheels (the old steelies were RUSTING THROUGH), and a new headliner because the old one was falling out. The paint was fading and peeling off, and it now has 175,000 miles.

So take it or leave it. I've had good and bad experiences with both makes. I will say that I won't ever own an asian automobile out of principle, and that now that I've fixed the olds, it runs like a new Rolex and it's been to the east coast and back 5 times, to Norwalk, OH 7 times and is going to be going to california this summer.

I drive 2 Fords lovem' both. Have 150,000 on my F150 right now. Actually have two friends hard core Chevy guys, talk sh*t all the time. Both have had troubles galore with their trucks all before 50,000 miles. I'm not knocking Chevy I like GM, Ford and Chrysler products. Just here the Chevy guys talk a lot yet they are no more or less reliable than Ford. Toyota and Honda I'll give it to them for reliability, yet the whole idea that all Japanese brands are reliable isn't true either. My buddy's Mitsubishi has had major tranny problems, and he says he's been talking to guys in his circle of Eclipse owners and all have had tranny problems as well. Holden? Same thing as Chevy in the states no more or less reliable than Ford or Chrysler my friend. I rarely see Hondas on the side of the road except older ones and a new ricer on fire while leaving Vegas, of course no telling what he did to the engine when "modifying it".
