well..now here is where people will really think i am nuts.
i dont want a dog because my "hope" is that apollo is still around me and will sty by my side after death..
well..he didnt like sharing my love with anyone..more so another dog.
so my fear is that if i get another dog it will just piss apollo off and he will leave my side.
stupid thinking..maybe.
all i know is that i never want apollo not to be my side.
death sucks. its so final.
Sorry to hear. That makes sense to me, you don't want another dog until your ready to let him go.

i am sorry for your loss.. and you are so absolutely right.. each of us feels the depth of emotional loss in different ways.. for me .. i needed the void to fill with the love of another dobie.. especially for husband.. he just could not get over the loss. it would wake him up at night.. i got another one for me.. but especially for him.. and it worked .. all dobies are so unique but yet have so many qualities that are the same.. smart loyal and devoted.. so it was easy for us to love again.. and i think my dobie that i lost sent me to the right place at the right time to find another.. we will never forget her.. and now we feel thankful she helped us healby leading us in the right direction.....

very sad time does not make it easier.. i still miss my passed dobies.. but i hang on to this one for comfort.
lol..yeah..i saw this on fb..i think i "liked" it..
youre right...time doesnt make it easier..i know in 5 or 10 years i will still be hurting just as much.
i really dont want another dog..i mean i do but i know i couldnt come close to loving it as much as i did apollo..and thats not right..i mean i wouldnt neglect it...but i wouldnt treat it as well.
He was my son..he cannot be replaced.
