Im not one to harp on tank size, but this fish will grow to over 8' and 200 lbs.

Thank you all! And thanks Owen for the advice. How exactly do you research the name of a mystery fish when you don't have the name? I have a bigger indoor pond I can transfer him to when he is ready. I am trying not to feed him everyday in order to slow down the growth.

How do you buy a fish without knowing its name?

My tank now is 200 Gallons. My ponds is probably about 3 times as large.

So a 600 gallon pond? That's way to small minimum is 2500. I suggest you return it
