FYI I have 4 Alligator 2 Feet alligator Gar I have kept for about a year. I feed them once every two weeks , they have managed to stay the same size nearly. From what I know they grow just as big as the Arapaima.

So, you do know what an arapaima is then?

If your gar is still 2 foot, than it is a spotted gar, not alligator gar, I promise you.

It seems odd to me that someone who keeps "Alligator" Gars did not know what an Arapaima is...

Well , just to fill you in on how things work in China. There is no extensive research process before selecting a fish from the neighbor fish store. I saw a fish, I bought it and now I want to learn about it. Does that make sense to or need more explaining?

And Jaguar Chillid, noted Kavin. I will look into them.

I hear you my friend but you posting on this forum is in effect research. You be just chosen to research after buying instead of before.

I do most of my research by posting here first. Great source of information but it won't change the fact that you be bought what will be an enormous fish.
