for the ones still using gravel

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Here in Japan we mostly use crushed garnet stone.
It has the same size as grains of sand, but is very very heavy. Much heavier than sand, and doesn't clog your filters.

Also, it being real Garnet, the red looks great and brings out contrast.

This is the same guy who said it's animal abuse to keep a poly without plants... Yet it's perfectly fine for his polys to die from something he can prevent(changing to sand)... Either this guy is trollin hard or he's literally as ignorant as they come...

I don´t see any reason to change something that exists in it´s natural environement. Beside that i also see no reason in changing something that works for me since years without any problems. The tank is cycled, it´s natural substrate, the plants are growing and my water parameters are perfect.

I can´t change the substrate without destroying the habitat.

That sounds pretty cool I would give that a try.

Do you ever post anything thats not trying to argue with people?

Every one should just ignore this guy. nothing you say will help as he just dose not get it,,,I put him on my ignore list witch is nice, as I do not have to see what he writes especially in my own threads. I am surprised that the MODS have not done something about him yet.

+1

That stuff is full of chemicals. It could be some poison, thats true.

And because the gravel: i still think gravel is better and will not switch to sand. Thats my opinion and i stand for it. Gravel is the natural substrate of their habitat. If he is dumb enough to eat it in large amounts, then he deserves death. Thats my opinion about that topic.

Wow sounds very scientific. I thought based on your other threads and posts you were an academic/scientific/book-worm kind of guy. Then you say "If he is dumb enough to eat it in large amounts, then he deserves death." At one point i thought you were a misunderstood individual who had good intentions of furthering the hobby. But then you respond to King-eL's post by writing "If he eats it and dies, so be it. I don´t support an animal that is to dumb for it´s own evolution." .... I agree with other members here that you are much more of a liability/headache than an asset to this forum. I guess in the end I am the dummy by responding to one of your posts.
