Awesome! Mine's around a foot long right now. I can't wait till it gets really big :D

He's "only" a foot right now too, though he's in another one of his growth spurts, and is 1/2 an inch longer than when I started this thread:eek: I think it's going to be awesome to see such a beautiful creature swimming in his own dedicated cat pond.

forgive my ignorance; what's a "q tank"? quarantine?

you know the saying "if it's not broke, don't fix it"! :)

i've looked, but haven't been able to find any of these guys. seems like i see them all the time except for when i actually want one. :irked:
i'm still looking though...

That's not ignorance! It's a question!! lol you are correct it is a quarantine tank. Keep looking, I'm sure you will find one. We looked for a few weeks for our first one honestly. We saw them in the store, but they were all tiny. Then when our friend told us he found a big one and hid it, we took him. I agree with you on not fixing it if it's not broken. They are both thriving in their homes, if that were different, then of course a change would be made.

I had a dragon goby in freshwater his whole life. Everyone kept telling me he was going to die any day because he wasn't in brackish water, and that I was torturing him. Well he lived many years, and finally died just a few months ago at 17" long. I think he could have gone a little longer, but I was having to adjust some of my tanks around, and I don't think he did well with all the redecorating that I had to do.

I still have yet to see a single dragon goby that's grown larger than mine, whether in fresh, brackish, or saltwater!

Still one of my all time fav fish. They're so ugly that they're cute!

Wow! 17 inches? I would love for mine to get that big! Do you have pictures of that beast? Sorry he didn't make it, sounds like he would have gotten massive.

Ok here is the feeding video from the other night. Note the kitty telling me that I am not paying attention to him. Sorry for the bad camera movement. I was filming and feeding all by myself.
