Forearm forklift to move aquarium?

Has anyone ever tried using the forearm forklift things to move an aquarium?
Here's what I'm talking about:

I've got a 125 gallon tank that would take several people to move normally. Seems like these things would make the job a lot easier. Anyone tried it?

I moved a 150g with just me (5'5" female) and another guy. Heavy but doable.

They would work well but they would be a little (lot) long... Make sure if you use them, be sure to minimize the swing... I have a pair and love them.

i think a lot of people tend to use those lock on glass suction cups. sorry i dont have a link

Anything above 300 gallons and glass seems like mechanical assistance would be smart. Me and a friend moved my 150 up a flight of stairs without too many advil.

That seems like a pretty good idea.

I provide everyone with the knit gloves with the non slip grip on them. A small bit of insurance.

Honestly a 125 doesn't way that much. it can easily be done with 2 people.

I agree. My brother and I moved a 125 w/ gravel still in it and we are not weight lifters by any means. I think preperation is just as important tho. Try furniture dollys as well...

I think they would work great if no stairs were involved...that said, I agree with the above, 125 not heavy , 2 guys easy.....
