Ugh, a Major? Way too high of a rank to be doing something that stupid - not to say that it's acceptable in any manner. But some one who is a Major, unless they were brought in with an MD, has at least 10 years in the military - why would they snap like that?

The shooting started in my wife's dad's old building, he was actually visiting some friends on base yesterday (he's retired civilian contracter, but he still does on-base counseling once a week)... Plus, all the injured were taken to my hometown hospital... they had to shut down the ICU to make room for the injured.

It's terrible tragedy that hit's a little close to home.

BTW, listen to stories from the media outlets with a grain of salt. The stories I'm hearing from people that are there are quite different from what is on Fox, CNN, ABC, etc.

I'm not going to venture what the true story is, but it sure ain't what's on the news.

I was deeply disturbed when I heard this story. CNN made a point, obviously this was premeditated...and if y=there was more than 1 shooter...
I can't even imagine what would cause somebody to do such a thing. Very sad.

Stress....is one of the main factors in being in the army. Deploying is another, and PTSD......

I was in the army and been deployed 3 times, and going over again this month. I have seen a lot of people snap. A lot a people can't work under stress, worrying about deployments, dieing, family leaving, No power when over sea's and family is stressing out, etc.........

Wow they just said the shooter is still alive! But in custody.

Lets pray there is a speedy trail and a slow death as punishment!
