looks nice, how are gravel vacs compared with this stuff and the usual gravels?

This gravel is more light weight than those other crap gravels.

This is nice since it helps keep weight of the tank down, but it also means the gravel vac will siphon them out if you vac too many spots without shaking out the gravel before moving on.

But because it's light weight, if you vac properly (technique learned after years in the hobby  ), it's very easy to remove all the waste from the fish, even some of the particulate grains I missed when I rinsed the stuff :D

Is it called 'Dreaming Sand'? That was the brand on the large 20lb. bags I originally got.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was called 'Dreaming Sand'. I am now reconsidering putting it back in my tank.

This is the bag the original stuff came in. It's a lot cheaper through Jebo.

It's all smooth, no rough edges.

There are bits of seashell mixed in, I'm not sure why, but they are very few, and can be picked out when you're rinsing the gravel.

Geos and corys would love this stuff.

Well, he doens't get on MFK that often, so I'll ask him if I can give out his number.

How long ago did you pm him? Give him time he will pm back.

I pm'd him about stuff I saw on that jebo website, after he posted in the classifieds for the ammonia removing stuff, and he was able to give me info about prices and what not.

That jebo warehouse is awesome, the tanks they have are nice, and I like a lot of the decor they have.

I saw this gravel on another thread; I think someone put it in their 500gallon.

I like it. I live pretty close to Monterey Park so maybe I will give it a go.

Maybe they will shoot me a quantity discount for a larger tank.

Nice! It really brings out the color on those polys! Also love how it works nicely with the plants.

They might be able to, but since you're getting it through the whole saler, it's already less than half the price you would get it at an lfs.

Since it comes in individiual 5lb. bags, they can give you a sack with 10 bags in it.
