Find out where they are located and post it. Maybe somebody who lives close can check them out. If they do decent work this vendor would be an asset to us all. Even if the seams are a little bubbly, it still might be worth the price.

seems free shipping is kind of bent around the truth.
*First $500 of Shipping is on us!

Modification or alteration of the aquarium by drilling, cutting, sawing, gluing anything to, bending, melting, tapping or other similar means voids the warranty

Repair or replacement value from year two to year four will be limited to 40% of the prevailing price. Repair or replacement value from year four and on will be limited to 20% of the prevailing price.

^ if i understand that correctly, they only pay for 40% of repairs

if you ask me, the website just looks fishy, and looks like a major scam.

The modification is standard. Most companies require a phone call and approval on modifications.

The "free shipping" of up to $500? and the lifetime warranty of 40% from 2 years to 4 years and 20% 4 years after is "limited lifetime warranty." This sounds shady.

Also, when acrylic aquariums first came onto the market, they used extruded acrylic. It looked good for years. Eventually, it crazed and yellowed. Makes me wonder if they are cutting corners by using cheap thin acrylic.

I have purchased acrylic tanks, but not from this place. They seem terribly pricey to me. They want hundreds for a tank I paid $120 for.

How long ago? Acrylic is a petroleum product that skyrocketed in the past years.

I just think its funny that whne making the argument of why acrylic is better than glass the only real arguments there are is "Its lighter", and , "You can drill through it easier"

How could you possibly move a 800gallon glass tank?

I was making the point of why acrylic is better than glass. Sure you can do it, but who wants to round up 8 of their friends to help them move a tank.
Haha umm no, no where in your first post did I see you suggest you could do it, but instead you questioned if it was even possible. Sure I'll agree with you that it's easier to move acrylic, but as to who wants to round up friends to move a tank? I would and so do they, if it's more money in our pocket for fish :)

I doubt I would buy one of his tanks, first off they cost too much. I just purchased a 400 gallon tank that was $1700 its 120x32x24 his 120x24x24 $1909 $209 more and its a smaller tank and like others have said he has no pictures of his work. Maybe if he was local I would take a look at his work and then decide if I would buy a tank from him. But I doubt I would have a tank shipped to me with out seeing his work. Lastly I would probably just buy a Tru Vu tank. There is a LFS that sell Tru Vu tanks for $1 over cost, they do this to bring in new customers. Although my 400 gallon tank is made by World Marine.

THEY COST TOO MUCH?!

For a 96x48x30 I've been quoted as high as 20k. Tenecor is based out of Tempe here in AZ and they quoted me 4500. This website has it for a little over 2k.

I agree with all of your responses.

Although I have no problem gathering a dozen of my buddies to move a tank. All I have to do is say..."beer?" and they're here haha.
