we had a pretty big discussion about this when this first happened..it was easily proven with other photos of the kid and the hog..that it was a trick of perspective..can anyone find that link?

I have to agree with Guppy and Oscar. Its a trick photo. I zoomed in on the pic and under the kids left elbow it looks like something else that is white is there, like maybe he's leaning on a pedestal not the hog. Also when I did the zoom it looked like different parts of the hog were at varying resolutions. Granted I dont have specialized software or even photoshop but that is usually a give away.
Also, Im all for hunting and enjoy it myself, but I dont think I wouldve shot this beast. I guess there are no Monster Hog Keepers! And anyways, who sends their kid out to hunt large game with a handgun. I dont care what caliber it is, its still very tight range.

forget the link !!! this was in field and stream magazine, they had a f&s reporter there when the thing was hauled off, it was an estimated 900lbs by the reporter (pig espert ?) but it was claimed over 1,100lbs by the fat kids family.
ill have to pull out my old magazine collection from the garrage (most likley in the last place i look) but that fat kid really did shoot a big *** hog, just not that big.
and i dont comprehend why someone would exaggerate something that is already exaggerated by nature. i guess some people are never satisfied.
