im potentiality going to be starting a new tank soon!

i bought this stuff today form the hardware store. its called

WIZARD
Extra strength
AMMONIA
with
BITREXtm

it says its for Laundry, Woolens, to remove grease, woodwork, windows and Acrylic and regular wax stripping.

from what it says on the bottle and from the internet, Bitrex is a non toxic child proofing chemical to make things taste awful...

so can i use this product to cycle my new tank? will Bitrex remain and kill my fish long after the ammonia is gone?

thanks

don't do it. i just googled bitrex and it is a cleaning agent. i would err on the side of caution and get some 100 percent ammonia. the bitrex may have an adverse affect and kill the bacteria instead of cycling ..... and kill the fish too!

yeah dont do it get ammonia
