  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
just so you know you could throw in a bunch of fish food and it will decompose into ammonia and be fish safe;)

yah i know but i wanna do it this way...fish food is for my fish.. its expensive enough as it is.. 2 litre bottle of ammonia is $2.50.. also all that fish food will get all gunked up in the filter..flake food and pellets don't cause as much ammonia as u think.. u would need to put a huge amount to see an major increase.. plus u have to wait for it to decompose into ammonia....

my point is:
$2.50 for some ammonia is a lot easier, faster, cheaper and cleaner way then using my over priced fish food to cycle my tank.

just cycle your tank the old way, do not make a big deal out of it

ammonia is for your floor lol.

you could always pee in the tank, provided you live a pretty clean life and dont take medicaiton that will harm the fish, your pee has ammonia and urea in it. and the best thing is pee is free. how about that it rhymes too.

how big is the tank your trying to do?

Death Sting, if you have established tanks around you already, make use of the established filter media to instantly cycle your tanks. No need to get ammonia.

i think i heard of other people using it(goldex) to cycle but whats the need for the high ammonia amount?
did you just want to try it?

i have already done that. i just need some ammonia to keep the bacteria alive and growing, i don't have the fish yet.

if you don't have old established media to add to the tank, you can always just get some feeders and that would add the ammonia you need. theyre nice and cheap too
