Four Gatfs in same tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I used to separate my VATF with an egg crate. But they would push it over and want to school together. Then they would fight and slash each other. I'd put up the egg crate again and the process starts all over....

After what happen I just took the egg crate out I just let them be gatfs if they want to kick each other ass that on them.

I got six red hook SDs about 3" i thought they will be fine with the ATFs as target fishs. Within 15 mins the tigers started to dart straight for them and stop on dime then turn away. There where feeders in the tank. So why for the behavior? So for the SDs safety I move them. What fishs do you guys have with your ATF?

that was a hunting behavior you saw. mine do that to the school of feeders then the one that runs gets eatten. it is badass!

i have a 20" south american lungfish and a 10" channel cat with a pair of 6" gatfs.

my small 4.5" gatf is with a 3.5" peacock bass, peacock eel, yo yo loach, and a busynose pleco. i dont think that the gatf has found the loach yet. the gaft will be moved to the pairs tank when it is big enough to take goldfish.

The lungfish never try to eat your tigers? i know lungfish are slow but they have quick strike.
