Freaking convicts!

I think the Texas fry are on their third batch, and he started eating some of the larger babies. I moved them in with them male convict and babies. So far their adoptive father hasn't eaten them.

I use a pair of asian bumblebee catfish to control my molly population :naughty: Which i would love to have breed for me but knowing my luck i have 2 males or 2 females .personally I'de leave the pairs in the big tank.. let them raise their young. and if you want to keep any of the babies net them out after a few weeks and raise them all together. seperate from the parents. And then find some type of control for your main tank. Cichlids I've found breed as bad as mice once they get going and happy. Unless you seperate all your males into one tank and all your females into another you will likely continue to have this happen. catfish and the like are good control, though I woudn't know what to suggest for a SA tank. I've used Synodontis in my african tanks, but they naturally co-exist. I also have some african clawed frogs that are my dumping grounds for any unwanted babies. I can't give my fry away to the local petstores usually. Though sometimes they'll take them off my hands. I got tired of freezing fry.. So went with a more natural approach, I filled another fishtank :D
