blood parrots= :barf:
pick up the poly and knife

Ahh this answer is too easy, the blood parrots belong to "her" and are the only reason i can get away with buying new stuff all the time. Now it will be "but we need the bigger aquarium because the blood parrots wont like these new fish". Or at least thats how i picture it going.

Ironically I received my ornate for free as well through a colleague of mine as i was the only one with tank space and i didn't want to see it put down(which for some reason was the only other option?) So now he lives in a peaceful community tank with barbs, oto's and blood parrots. Didn't really research what i was getting into haha but its been a few weeks now and he hasn't eaten any of his smaller tank mates yet. Which is good because now my fiance has grown to love him, although not quite as much as the parrots...yet...

I'll try to post some pics of my original rescue bichir tonight, i have nothing to compare him to so im not sure of his condition? He looks okay, but hes often moving up the sides of the tank in a restless way. But my 72 is much bigger than the 15 he was in! Im slowly learning behavior though.

Okay here we go
The tank was not bought or decorated with bichirs in mind but ive done what i can by making him some driftwood piles for the hiding.

Of course he only uses the driftwood caves briefly, he prefers to stay on the side of the tank near the plants.

So far i get no indication of being nocturnal, he only hides when the lights go out, otherwise hes up and down the sides of the glass.

Nice .
