Free Bichir?

I don't have pics of the 2nd bichir, I'm holding out for a larger tank to house them.

UPDATE:

As for my first bichir, he hasnt eaten any tank mates yet and we're going on week three. Keeping in mind hes 7 inches long and he has 16 tank mates under an inch and a half (4 strawberry barbs, 6 oto's and 6 rasboras) He hasnt touched the bottom of the tank in 5+ days spending all his time up against the glass in the plants. His appetite seems okay still only eating silversides(i try pellets every day but without going to the bottom makes it difficult)

Have you got rid of those parrots or have you got to keep em?

Slowly winning the argument to take them in, one has a bit of a temper that's helping my cause. Need something to take their place, was thinking oscar? She loves fish that are puppy-like IE beg for food/interact with people.

Oscars and bichers are iffy, but I like both. As for the pellet issue, crush some fresh garlic and roll the pellets in the juice. It's actually used in many predator foods, as it makes it strong smelling, and seems to work as an attractant.
If HBH fish foods are available where you're at, try their SuperSoft krill formula, that's what I've used to get all my predators started on pellet since I discovered it. I literally tried dozens of different pellets until I found this stuff, I haven't found a predator so far that won't take it. First time they might be slow, but the second time I fed it they've nearly frenzied.

Finally got rid of the parrots! It was a couple of days ago and since then the ornate has really come out of it's shell. Eating more and interacting with the tank more. Is still 100% diurnal and refuses to use the caves and driftwood provided which i guess is cool because she's available for viewing 100% of the time. Also i thought it too much trouble to fish the barbs and rasporas out, and she still hasnt eaten ANY tank mates.

As some of you may have read in the other sections i took in 4 discus which are more or less replacing the parrots in ornates tank. I'm not entirely sure how this combo will work in the long run but for now things are going well. Along with the discus i purchased a syno-cat to help with cleanup and i think I need help identifying both it and the discus!(Being that i know very little about discus varieties)
