free big catfish need homes/trip to washington to save them

hello everyone, i keep getting pms from people wanting to know what im feeding these fish, well from hundreds of hours of reading and finding out what other large fish keepers feed there fish, this is what ive settled on ,
i feed every other day about 6-7 lbs of food
sometimes it is 6 lbs of market shrimp that we de tail
other times it is trout chow that i buy in 50 lb bags
and then there is the bar s hot dogs, on those days i give them 7 lbs
and every once in a while i throw in a couple of heads of romain lettuce for the pacus and giant gourami. and thats about all of the variety of foos that i feed
feeding these fish at this rate costs me about about 200 dollers a month

josh told me about that tank you guys bought. very impressive. its big enough to swim in. stock it up with some whales.
 
Awesome update. I really like the idea with the sump.if I built something like that for all my tanks on the outer walls, I could really cut down on the electic bill. I would only have to run 1 fx5 on each tank to clean the debree from the bottom.
Can't wait to help you out with the big fish move when the time comes.
 
Yup, you got my wheels spinning now. The stand for the new 8'x3' addition to the fishroom hasn't been built yet. I'm re-considering where I thought it was going to go and using overflows to the resivoir I already have. I might just turn it into a sump and use the 7,500gph pump that I have brand new still in the box just collecting dust. Lol.

Just kiddin, I'm glad I read ur update before I gave the ok on the dimensions on the stand.
Now I'm considering stacking a 8'x4' resivoir over a 8'x4' sump. Lol.
As it says in my sig, I need more room! Lol.

:) sorry :), but that sounds like a space saving idea you got there, and you can also use the sump as a place to hold fish if you ever need :)

well im starting to compile all the parts for the filtration system to be built, unless anyone has any ideas for me to make the system any better. just let me know, we already added a vortex settling chamber into the bio system, any other ideas will be welcome

***UPDATE ***
sat 2/26/2011 we had a little MFK meet here it seems, alot of different people from mfk showed up here and we had a day of messing with the fish. let me see there was WENDSDAY13, and CPRMIKE, AND MASTERB and his girlfriend, LAMANUTS and of course me BIGRICH545, we spent the day chasing fish in different tanks, thats always fun, i swear if you dont drain your tank down most of the way, these fish will run and hide and you end up tearing your tank apart to finally catch them, but i had alot of fun and want to say thanks to everyone for stopping by, and would like to say sorry to doris for my pet marmoset monkey getting a little to exited around her. :), i hope she forgives me, ill keep him caged up next time you guys come around :) and im sorry that i could not sell you the fire eel but, i love that eel and as of now its the only one that i have, so i will try to find you one.

as far as the new house is coming, im still waiting to take ownership, so the 4000 gallon tank is just sitting in my driveway with a heater in it, im keeping it at 65 degrees inside to tank, so the window will have no chance of shrinking and possibly popping a seem, so to you all who have sent me pm's asking whats going on with the tank, it is just sitting and waiting, i did however pick up some morimid dolphins and there doing fine so far, there small and in a grow out tank, and i also picked up anothe albino clown,
