Free swimming worms in tank

So I have these worms free swimming in my tank


My GT has been sick since I got him and I'm guessing these have something to do with it. He hasn't eaten in the three weeks I've had him and has white poop. He's very shy but occasionally has fits of rage attacking his reflection violently. Not sure if it's his inner terror coming out or he's sick with parasites. Can these spread to me? Need some help here.
 
That is my guess. reduce nutrients in the water. meaning feed less or slower. aggressive tank vacuuming at water change and water changes more often.

I have already spent nearly $40 on medications for this guy and it really sucks that he may have camallanus or something that I cant treat with over the counter stuff.

He hasn't eaten since I got him. I have tried many times but always remove 100% of the food within 15 minutes. I have been doing PWC every three days just to help him heal. He has internal and external problems since I got him. What a nightmare.
 
I would run a course of paragaurd. taking this to be a new fish.
 
Post water parameters and symptoms before you do anything. Those worms are not your problem, I have had them and currently have them in every aquarium I have ever had. Harmless, just don't look great, smaller fish will eat them. Your fish ailment is unrelated I can assure you. White poop is most likely parasite, probably had it before you got it.

So my water parameters are zero ammonia zero nitrite and I've been keeping nitrate around or under ten with water changes. ph is 7.4 and temp is 74. I've so far dosed paraguard for a week. Melafix for a few days and now I'm dosing metronidozole into the water because he won't eat anything even shrimp.
