yea it only used for loss of appeitite

In the herp world there's a term known as 'gut loading'. Ie. feed your crickets fruit, veges, oatmeal for a few days prior to feeding them to anything that would eat them. That way they'll be nice and plump and have a very increased nutritional value over just buying them from the store and dropping them in the tank. I'd recommend the same for feeders of any type (i.e. goldfish, rosies, worms, etc).

i agree with bderick67. crickets are a good source of protein but in the wild, arrows eat a variety of creatures. i'm not a nutritionist but i do think that variety is the best policy. i would also include a BALANCED pellet. A nutritionally balanced pellet, prepared by scientist is your best staple diet, that is, if your arrows are trained to eat pellets. I feed mine a specially prepared pellet that my fish store guy gets directly from asia. it's specifically prepared for arrows. I use freeze dried krill and other proteins as TREATS or SUPPLEMENTS.

you cant really gut load freeze dried crickets can you...no point feeding feeders either, going from the pyramid of energy, if you were to gutload feeders and then feed to an aro, only 10% of what the feeder just ate will actually be absorbed by the feeder, and then only 10% of that will ever reach the aro, so why not just feed directly from the source. And anyways, you gotta worry about the thiamines and parasites and such with feeding feeders, not worth it IMO.

i just wanted to give my aro freeze dried crickets to vary the diet and nothing else.i always feed them MP and chopped squid. so this would just be for a change and no other reason. hikari pellets are not available in my country. we only get koi pond pellets out here and they are not that big in size and my aro dosent eat them anyways. so the motive behind crickets was just to give my aro a varied diet and nothing else. and i dont give feeders so thats not an option anyways
