Thx for the input fellas. I'd like to move away from pellets not totally but limit the usage with my carnivores. The idea is to mix in live insects like mealworms and crickets along FD versions and various meaty foods like tilapia, shrim, and krill

I feed freeze dried minnows to my fish. I haven't seen anybody else do this. Not sure about aros.
You can also stuff them with all kinds of other foods.

What is the reasoning behind moving away from pellets?

Those 2 insects are crappy feeders. Dubia roaches and earthworms would be a much better option. Dubias have a longer digestive track and gut load a lot better. The bearded dragon would like the Dubias as well

Would the poly eels go up to the top of the tank to eat the bugs?
