i have 75G and i'm only doing about 2 large buckets worth (i'm just guessing its 5%, maybe less tho) so i just condition those two buckets.

as i said, i'll see how this works out... i'm trying to keep the water clean and stable.

Okay kool, was just wondering. Using buckets is a good idea instead of putting the whole python on for 10 gallons. Just trying to help out.

Yea i found that out the hard way... i've always done large WC, stuck the python in, let it run and didn't treat the whole tank.

If you guys can see that your fish are stressed by your water change method, isn't that enough indication that the Python methods are seriously flawed?

If you were in a room were a canister of nerve gas and a canister of the antidote were released, would you remain in the room or would you get the hell out? Do you really think that having the antidote means that there will be no repercussions for exposure to any toxic substance?

Your fish can't get out but they are telling you that something is seriously wrong. Chlorine burns fish's gills, even for momentary exposure. There is no telling what kind of damage or pain is caused to the sensory pits or lateral line.

You owe it to your fish to take the time to do it right. Pretreat your water. I use a barrel and then pump it to my tanks. I have also instead used a carbon pre-filter in my lazy days, but you have to frequently test the water quality.

I always wondered about this. Thanks for clarifying that :)

I just drip fresh filtered water into the tank every day. Basically a mini-waterchange on a daily basis. Right now, putting in about 10 gallons a day, but in a week or so, it will be about 50.

I do 1 water change every month. 40 percent. I dont add any chemicals at all. Fish are healthy.
You should validate your statement with additional information. You could lead a noob to kill his fish. There are more ways your statement could be wrong than right.
