I really love my fresh water tanks, but when the turtles outgrow their tank and hit the pond, i'm going to go salt.

Salt all the way, You can't keep half as many different creatures in fresh as salt. And some of the colors are to just die for, Nothing you could ever possibly see in fresh. Not saying there arnt some absolutly beautiful fresh, I'm just like salt better. Although my dream fish is fresh.....

I like salt better for the much much wider variety of creatures you can buy as well as the better color. :D

I like the challenge of Reef tanks. Freshwater is so boring i mean i still have monster freshwater tanks but the fact that salt is so colorful I honestly havent bought a freshwater fish in 5 years and never will again salt soft corals are the bomb!!

Both are awesome.

I like the simplicity of fresh, but i love the challenge with salt, find it very rewarding.

I haven't kept SW in a few years, but even though my preference in fishkeeping is FW (mostly cichlids, but others too), I like SW a lot too, just don't keep any for financial reasons

Thats understandable alot of people flat out cannot afford a saltwater setup.

You can get nicer colours in FW inverts than in marine and the fish can recognise their owners loads and marine fish are such delicate pussies.
