hi,
lately i have been thinking about saltwater fish but i have a 65 gallon freshwater aquarium, i have been thinking about how saltwater fish are so bright and colorful and how their colors just glow and are visible from such a far distance but i think about how freshwater fish just don't glow like they do.
does anyone know of freshwater fish that will stay 6" and under that are very bright like saltwater fish.
it doesn't matter if it is aggressive, peaceful or, semi-aggressive. my current tank is a peaceful tank set-up but all my fish are fast and slim and would be able to get away if chased or anything like that.
i have swordtails and platies as well and they are still not bright enough even with their deep orange and red coloring.
i am interested in cichlids, so does anyone know about any bright yet not too big cichlids?
thank you

Speed does not mean they won't get eaten. Minnows are fast yet they're feeder fish for cichlids.

^are you retarded? his tank is a 65g. pls go....

in the 65 if you start over i would recommend assorted mbuna for sure

check out discus i think thats what you might be looking for. i would do 4-6 depending on the dimensions, they should work with your current stock. how many fish do you have?

You can find lots of FW fish that are colorful.. but it's FW colorful, not SW colorful.. if the colors of FW fish don't satisfy you.. your probably gonna go SW..

But if I was to suggest in a general sense... you'd need to get rid of your current stock and go with an African tank...
