freshwater fish bright like saltwater fish

Just go salt. Lots of live rock, some aragonite, a protein skimmer and you're all good. You could do a peaceful tank with a butterflyfish, as well as a firefish pair, a dwarf angelfish (I have a flame angel and it is extremely hardy), some chromis, gobies, and some pajama cardinals. Oh, don't forget a captive bred ocellaris clownfish pair (inexpensive and very hardy). You could add an urchin and some shrimp in this kind of setup.

Or you could do an orange toadfish, a zebra dwarf lionfish, and some black-bar soldierfish to make an interesting display (No inverts with this one though...)

A single undulate trigger could also be quite the display, and would make an impressive wet pet.

that's a great looking cichlid, but still not bright enough, and fishfreak its as though you read my mind or something lol, i was doing some research and that is the exact 100% list of fish i wanted to put in and how i wanted to arrange my tank, its amazing how you knew exactly what i was looking for. but are you sure that all i will need is a protein skimmer?, what about powerheads, sump pumps, overflow thing, and heater?

then for for sw! hahhaha i love saltwater changing all my tanks but my ponds to salt. I dont like the "colorfull" fish like you though (only in my small tanks). thats why in my 700g am only putting stuff in that can eat you. like sharks >=] . once you go sw you want to bigger and bigger and bigger!

lol i know i remember starting with a bowl then a 10g then a 25g then a jump to a 65g idk what is next in store for me and yeah i can see how a jump to SW usually never includes a jump back but i know its what i want to do with my tank, i just love SW fish and dont understand why i never thought about it in the past, must be all the talk about the high maintnance. i agree with you in that if i had a huge tank like 700g i wouldn't put colorful fish i would put lean and mean sharks. but my 65g isn't huge so im sticking with my colorful fish. but in the future {and i know its gonna happen} when i find myself looking at the 1000g tank i will have rays and sharks and mean nasty fish lol.
