Paddlefish could potentially be found in any river the is part of the Mississippi river system. I don't think they have ever been stocked out side the Mississippi river and it's tributaries.

Paddles need a LOT of swimming room. Also, they are constant feeders - so be prepared to offer food 5-6 times a day. Cooler / cold water is best for them. I'd suggest 68-74F tops. Water needs to have a LOT of movement as well. As mentioned, they will take prepared foods larger than the fine stuff they filter out - but it takes them longer to digest that - and they don't get as much nurishment out of it. Finely chopped shrimp, fish and krill are good things to keep them on.
