Friday Free-For-All 2.0....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hello; This past spring I changed the struts on my car. Got new struts on sale but were not loaded so I had to reuse the original springs. Was able to get a spring compressor from auto zone which made the job much safer. You basically pay for the spring compressor but get all the money back when the tool is returned.
I am a bit old so these jobs take a lot longer than they use to. I am not ready to give up just yet.

I used the weight of the truck, which was enough and no compressor needed.

I showed my buddy how to do his BMW with just wire or zip ties.

My dad started me out very young. I was about 6 when I washed my first ball bearing in gasoline.

Clearly I am boring the snot out of you guys LOL.

Anyhow I'm working on a new LED lamp, so no time for any of this rambunctious silliness!

. . . these jobs take a lot longer than they use to. I am not ready to give up just yet.

Sometimes I think I should just put up the tools and torches and gearhead nonsense.
And when I look at the projects I have stacked up, I start to feel even older.

But screw that!

Next I'm going to change the clutch on my Nomad, change the battery, and go ride it up to Tamarack Ridge and beyond, looking for loose manzanita.

I need to build another shed, but I may hire out for that.

Then I'll decide if I will first chop the '47 Plymouth or overhaul my Dad's old Scout.
