I had to do some research myself, they are the same. For some reason Rapps labels them as Rio Danto (idk why) but they originate back to one of the original pairs of la Ceiba...Owned by Rusty Wessel. But they were sold to me as Rio Danto so that's what I left them labeled as.

I was on the trip when they were collected. Rusty brought back the adult pair. I had some juveniles. They were actually caught by a friend Warren Van Varick. The Rio Danto is locared in LaCieba. I personally think they’re a naturally occurring hybrid Managuense/ Freddy. The females look like Freddie’s only with a concave indentation on the forehead. The males...in my opinion....look closer to managuense. Hands down one of the prettiest parachromis fish. My male was 13”. Good luck with yours.

I posted this in another thread.

Thanks Mo, I read when you posted on the other thread. I remember there being a bit of drama surrounding this fish when you guys brought them back over the sp. name. Also there were a few people lying about the generation of their fish. Claiming that theirs were wc when they weren't.

Yes the females definitely have a unique shape.
