I have a few fish with tons of personality... My friendliest fish i've ever had is either my adult male Angelfish or my Green Severum. Both are very intuned as to where I am at all times, and will, as Cam said, beg for food. If they see me looking at the tank, they'll start twisting their bodies back and forth almost like a dog wags it's tail. It's pretty funny.


My little laetacara dwarf cichlid is starting to develope a neat little personality.

x2 for the severum. They're always very curious when people ar around the tank and love to make it known when they're hungry.

my oldest lei is a gentle giant can easliy hand feed its never attack another fish has never tried to eat a feeder currently 18+ inchs i put 3 3 inch pbass in never even looked at them twice

For me would be RTC's, other then them eating other fish they were always cooperative when taking out of the tank and never skittish, handfeeding, petting them etc.

a few year back my aro would only eat if i feed her. she would watch TV with me. RIP she died bt i had her for 5 years. idk y she died bt she went peacefully i think. i dug a whole in my backyard and put her to rest. my sisters cried lol

My 3 Ropefish and Zig Zag eel are pretty well tied in this race. I can pet any of them. They'll often curl up in my hand to eat.

I keep mostly orandas myself although I have 6-7 more varieties with me. Goldfish are the friendliest I have kept. Loaches come second. My goldfish are handfed with gel foods daily and some already learn to appreciate being cuddled.

My Blue Acara is really peaceful for a cichlid. Never shows aggression, really passive.
