Here’s my display tanks

My 110. Home to my Black eel tail cat and 30 or so crimson spotted rainbows from Kangaroo creek. The rainbows will be move down out sometime next week and then i’ll move in my small eyed gudgeon, bichir and occellifer synos and maybe i’ll Add Colin in a month or two.

Next my 180 rainbow display. This holds all my breeders and something lone males or females

Melanotaenia trifasciata - regal rainbow ‘myka creek’
Melanotaenia kamaka - Lake kamaka rainbow
Melanotaenia splendida - Eastern rainbow ‘Davies creek’
Melanotaenia utcheensis - Utchee creek rainbow
Melanotaenia boesmani - boesman’s rainbow
Melanotaenia rubrostriata - red striped rainbow
Glossolepis dorityi - Dority’s rainbow
Cilatherina bleheri - Bleher’s rainbow

Next is my bichir’s current tank, i think it’s about 40/50 gallons. It’s pretty deep. Super odd dimensions, old custom built tank.

My 150 turtle tank.
Houses my three macleay river turtles, about 8 crimson spot rainbow, a handful of empire gudgeons and one striped gudgeon

Houses 7 Mucculochs rainbow (can’t spell lol), a pair of Spotted blue eyes, both the rainbow and the blue eyes are from Eubenengee swamp, my trio of peacock gudgeons and my lone female apisto so tefe

Last but not least my desktop 10 gallon. Got my Queensland lace plant I grew from seed. A garden growing above and six Danio kyathit and my olive perchlet

Question about your smalleye gudgeon; won't that little fellow need brackish when he gets older, or can they stay in full fresh?

Thanks man! The plastic tubs are great, only downside is the bowing. I use them as growouts so visibility isn’t really that big of an issue.

The stuff you guys can get overseas makes me jealous lol. So many nice Bichirs, pike cichlids and catfish I will never have the chance to get!

From what I’ve spoken to people about, (I’ve spoken to the guy who catches the fish to the wholesaler, and also to the wholesaler both are great dudes, Dave Wilson and Cory young) and they both said they are fine in full fresh. A lot of stuff can live in full fresh for ages, landlocked populations exist, it’s just that young fish tend to live in brackish.
