so is the boy still alive?/ i noticed a pink ball in his mouth whts tht??
Yes he is still with me, over 1 year old now.
he used to fight with his own reflection and attack the glass with open mouth, then that pink boil appeared under his lower lip inside the mouth. its got better but never removed totally.
I've also noticed that the spot outside the mouth under the lower lip of oscars is sensitive. when they continuously rub their mouth to something like glass or slate ( to clean for breeding and etc. ) a boil pops up under their lower lip. this happened to my male last year and still remained the same

I don't know how to cure it. it makes them look ugly

Thats a nic oscar my oscars never breed what size is that tank.
Thank you,
and finally heres the question about the tank size!
parents tank is a 35g , same for their son. thats all I could provide for my oscars in these years. I've had many plans for upgrading but they never got practical for some reason. I'm gradually believing that I can never do it until first I get my own house.
I would happily give them to someone who has big enough tank and takes well care of them, but I can't find such a person here. I'm a mod in local forums and know many fish keepers here, honestly I think no one cares about oscars more than me, myself.
