Not drums. Rubbermade bins. Each small FRT has a 52" x 30" footprint all to itself. The larger ones (10" and up) have 65" diameter bins. Their only tankmates are feeder minnows and baby crayfish.

Amazing set up! Gave me an idea for my softshells

How do you filter that set up, Phil, are the bins drilled?

I use the existing bulkhead drain, added an elbow and an oversize 'spill-over' as a weir, and run both bin drains down the back into a wet/dry filter.

Awesome pics. What substrate? Is it crushed coral to keep the water conditions right?
