Fry feeding

Dear friends.. i got a batch of fry to which i am feeding boiled egg yolk for about a week now..for how long can i keep up with this diet

Egg yolk does a great job in clouding up the water...imagine what that does 5 to 10 times of feeding daily. To answer your question, you can continue till they can consume crushed pellets or flakes.

I’d use frozen or freshly hatched baby brine shrimps or micro worms.

I like using regular cichlid pellet pulverized in an old electric coffee grinder, if you have a sponge on your intakes, they will feed off the sponge that it collects on.

I feed only 2 times daily and any excess food that does not get eaten, is siphoned out of the tank..the thing is i have also bought tetra fresh delica brine shrimp but i am not sure if it is the right time to be feeding it to them yet

Here they are now..about 2 weeks old

I get my hikari first bites from petco. They come in a small bag. Usually hanging on the shelf around the fish food area.
