Fry feeding

Water is a non nutrient, and that Tetra product shown above contains 90% water. This is not a quality diet to be fed to fry. The fry might enjoy the flavour, and the texture, but it is very low in nutrient value. Some of the essential vitamins are completely missing from this food. Read the back of the package.

You should be feeding a reasonably high protein (50%), high fat (10%), nutrient rich diet at this stage. Personally I was always a fan of NLS Grow formula when I was actively breeding fish, but any quality pellet, crushed up finely will work.

Get a mortar and pestle. They make prepping fry food a breeze.

I feel this eliminates some waste you get from just crushing pellets. No matter what I did before it was messy and I still had biggerish chunks that had to be cleaned out afterwards.
With this you can get a really nice power that even the smallest of fry can eat:)
