By The way guys, Those midas are offspring from Cichlidscene's bighead's son (a beast!) and a female wildcaught With an Outrageous head. They will be nothing but hump by the time they hit 8-10 inches. The females out of this breeding look beefier than the average male midas'.

I ended up with two pair. The dominant male has a golf ball sized at the moment. They are growing like weeds about 1.5" to 2" per month. The females are alot more aggressive than the males and also have much better coloration on them. How are yours doing?

Why G? Your male synspilum is a monster. I would love to keep mine but my argentea and beani are giving them a hard time.

I also ended up with two pairs. my bigger pair is about 5 inches. The male's head is ridiculous and if it weren't for the color I couldn't tell the female apart because her head is so big. I agree the color on the females is nicer and that they are a lot more aggressive. The barrring becomes super intense when breeding.

I still have him but he's getting old and the one I got from Joey has a lot more blue than orange/Red.

Beani finally ate a few days ago. Now, it would not stop eating :D. I was getting worried because it has almost been a month and I never saw it eat.
