I have roughly 50 baby crayfish that are 3/4 to 1" long. They were born on the 30th of last month. These are for freshwater only, however I have some bigger ones in a low brackish tank and they seem to be doing well. Pet stores sell the adults for $20+! The pet store in jackson sells them for $22/ea. The blue ones aren't cheap and not many places have them. Mine are babies still, so you'll get to watch them grow up.

I have 5 adults (not for sale) all sharing a tank with my fish and they get along just fine. My only advice is to not mix them with aggressive or bottom dwelling fish. The babies might do fine with other fish in the tank but only if the fish are really small. They are bite-size currently and would make an expensive meal for a fish. Forget about getting your kid a goldfish, he/she would probably like these more as these are more funner to watch.

I would accept cash or trades. Trade items can be other fish, aquarium supplies/hardware, or?!? Cost is 1 for $10, 2 for $15, or 5 for $30. Thats cheap! I prefer local pickup. Never shipped anything live so I'm not sure if I want to go there just yet.

Your roughly 2 1/2 hrs away and about 150 miles. Unless you wanted a lot of them, it may not be worth the trip. About the price, ya I saw that, I also saw another seller selling them for $15. $4.50 is awfully cheap. 5 at my price is $7.50 more than 5 at his which means you'd be paying $6/ea with my deal vs $4.50 with his. I would beat his deal if you buy more. For instance, give me $50 and I'll give you 12 of them. Buy even more then get an even better deal. Buy all my stock of 50+ for $175. I'm sure theres more than 50 in there but there is NO less. I just did a rough count. I just don't want to mess around with selling only 1 or 2 at a time. It's better to have several in a tank anyway because you'll have more of a chance to see them out in the open. I said my price was cheap because I was comparing it to pet store prices. Ebay is always cheaper on stuff, makes it hard to sell stuff because of that site.

Shipping would have to be overnite which is pricey, priority would take 2 days which I feel they wouldn't survive. Would be between $25-$30 for overnite shipping! I never shipped anything live so it may not be worth the risk since I would be a newbie at it. If your vehicle gets really good gas mileage like 30mpg then you could do the drive for only a few bucks more than shipping would cost. Depending how many you were planning on getting, I might be able to toss in a few freebies to help make up for the trip cost. pm me for that info.

I don't think I'd be able to house enough to justify buying in bulk. As for shipping, I heard for crustaceans, you put them in a box with wet newspaper- it keeps the gills moist and allows them to breath air. (I'm no expert, but the common crayfish for my bio lab came in that set up.) GL selling!

no problem. If I don't get any takers for a few days then I'll lower the prices because well I'll have no choice. Competing with ebay is hard. It's no different than trying to compete with other places. For instance, my friend has a computer shop and selling computers is hard because of dells cheap prices.

bump. Price structure has changed. $6/ea for any quantity. New rule, if you don't agree with the price then please just go elsewhere. This place is not ebay so if you want ebay prices then go there. Help support a member on this board and buy from here instead. Cash or trades accepted as payment. NO Shipping!

First pic is the daddy. He's in my main tank. The other pics are of the babies in my breeder tank.

I've never shipped anything live. Don't have the slightest idea how to do it "properly". Would have to buy containers or something to put them in. Then perhaps add an ice pack to keep it cool in there. What about using bottled o2 which I don't got? Then ya got to provide a warranty. Then theres the high shipping cost because I would assume they would have to be shipped via overnite service which is around $25. Just a whole bunch of work and added expense that I'm not ready nor looking forward to.
