I'd love to help you man, I'm in Indiana, but we haven't gotten our big tank yet. :( I'd LOVE to have a ray once we get it up and going. I don't think he'd be too hapy in a fully stocked 20 in the mean time though...

WELL WHEN ARE YOU GETTING IT?

Sorry man, if it were a female I would have taken it by now, only a 6hour drive but I already have a male retic.

do they fight or something, or do you want to try and breed them?

It'll be at least 2 weeks, most likely. My wife got a promotion at work, but the paperwork has to go through still, so it isn't "official" yet. we're going to buy a 150-180 with her first check, since she'll be getting a $5/hour raise. But again, we're at the mercy of HR and paperwork. Don't wait on me. :(

And to be honest, this'll be my first Ray, so I'd almost rather get one from a fish store so that I am removed from the possibility of having to tell someone "yeah, remember that cute guy you gave me the deal on? He's in the ocean in the sky now...". :(

I'm 30 minutes north of indy.....I could house him temporarily if you want to pick him up. If he's eating shrimp/krill/dead foods he'll be fine with my other 2 rays for a while.

Trust me, you don't want a ray from the fish stores around indy. I've never seen a healthy one. I got a good one in Marion, but I think that would be the closest place to get a good one.
Uncle bills: Skinny as hell (they even had a skinny motoro which you almost have to try to acheive)
The Reef: Skinny as hell
Some other that I can't remember the name of: skinny as hell.

Ok, VERY interested at this point. I need to talk this over with my wife, and she's a very detail orineted person.
Like I said, I've never had a 'Ray before, so I don't even know if Reticulated Ray is a fresh or salt-water variety. Can someone point me to some basic info on this species? Would he need a 150+ set up, or would a 100-120 work just as well? I'll try to dig up some info on my own.
