Just wondering Charlie, how much does those monsters weigh?

The 72x48x24 Built 1/2" all around with 3/4" bottom weighs approximately 422.8 lbs without the braces.

Built 3/4" all around the tank weighs 545 lbs without braces.

Pretty handy...

Basically the first tank will need 4 guys to lift, and the second tank will need at least 6

Actually...scratch that...I did the weights for 72x36x24

72x48x24 would be heavier ....I'm too tired to figure it out right now.

I actually have a lot of people ask how much tanks weigh and I use to get upset at myself for not being able to answer that. Then I founds some helps on the internet (like that site) and it's very helpful information for prospective buyers.

I finally got around to figuring out the weight for the 72x48x24 built both ways:
1/2" all around with 3/4" bottom - 510.4 lbs without braces
3/4" all around - 646.4 lbs without braces
