Know it all mods?! Thought it was a Nile monitor last time you posted :irked:  It was also for sale/trade then...

Glad to hear you changed that awful substrate!

This animal was called a nile in a previous thread? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha I hear the toilet being flushed away with 10 years experience. With that much time working with reptiles you would think you can at least identify what you keep. ROFL :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

I have a small brain and your the one who kept your animal on lava rocks.... makes total sense to me now. Thank you!

Charlet... if you post on a monitor forum, people will be a lot worse than varanio based on the choice of enclosure and lack of thinking of getting a giant. Experience is nothing... there is a reason why varanid keeping is considered as the apex of lizard hobby.

Anyway, I feel sorry for the poor thing.

sorry, but I must have mis-read then, but I'm not making it up. Also calling names doesn't help anyone, least of all your monitor, which people were just worried for, as you could understand.

Im sorry, but if you had 10 YEARS experience with reptilians you would know that lava rocks would be a bad idea even to use for a better temperature gradient. 1. They will scratch the animals underbelly. 2 They get extremely hot under direct heat light and can burn the underbelly. 3. It will dry up the entire cage in conjunction with your awesome screen top that you have placed in your 125 which is perfect for your high humidity animal.

Im looking out for the best interest of your animal, something which you have not done in your 10 YEARS experience. So Ill keep out of this thread now since your in so much control of the situation and you since you have vast experience in keeping reptiles for the last 10 years.

Silly of me to question the way youre keeping your animal :duh:

If I could take and post a video of me clapping, I would.

This is just horrible. AQUARIUMS ARE HORRIBLE FOR MONITORS!

MINIMUM! for a Water would have to be 12'x8'x4' The four foot depth is to provide two feet of substrate for the monitor to burrow in.

Why even attempt to sell it? You OBVIOUSLY cannot properly care for such an animal. Do whats right and donate it to a shelter/rescue.

It really makes me sad that such beautiful animals are available to anyone with enough money.

10 years of reptile keeping doesnt give you any credit. Just because you kept reptiles for 10 years, doesnt meen you kept them CORRECTLY.

by the way I'm a girl thank you.. also why would you band me just because of a mistake i made? what you dont make mistakes EVER? **** it I'm out... this forum sucks anyways.. but i guess this is what i get for talking to 14 year olds that live in their granny's basement and have nothing else better to then to pretend that being a mod is an actual job...

Thats fine if you did that already, but you posted pictures of the animal and the substrate in question. If you "redid" everything why not just post the pictures of the redecorated tank?
