I have no idea how long she has left regarding days as I didn't realise they had mated, seems to be going on forever, I'm guessing over the usual 150 days which seems to be the norm with this species.
No she isn't one I bred myself, not sure if she is wild caught or first generation, she was fairly small when I got her.
Will try and get a pic of the male, he is tiny...not to mention secretive.

Well...she BURST!! 2 boys and two girls, the boys were born on Wednesday and the girls on Thursday.
Very pleased with them.....JUST LOVE HYSTRIX!!

Yes its her first litter, got them on the Hikari carnivore pellets already.

Yes strange how this happens sometimes. This pair are very much part of a community tank housing Geophagus and Myleus\Mylossoma species (disc Characins). I could have left the pups in to be honest, they were been left alone completely by the other fish, however as I haven't had as much success as I would have liked of late with Hystrix I decided to remove them.....just in case!

There aren't many rays I don't particularly like but these little guys figure way up on the list as a must keep fish in my book.
