I guess my favoorite so far is our 14 inch pure Midas male. He is just a hog of a fish but a real mellow temperment. Second might be our pair of Oscars their fry were so friendly you could catch them in your hand. Then there were our Synspillums real knock out colors and mellow as all get out. There are so many more but these guys really stick in my mind. The Central and South Americans are some of my favorite Cichlids just have to get my wife to like them as much as I do.

He was a geophagus brasiliensis, about 4 years old and 12" long in that pic, we lost him about a year later, he'd grown another inch or so in that time. Most amazing fish I've ever kept.

The only cichlid I have kept is a Salvini, pretty cool little guy. Had him for about 2 weeks now

Favorite fish I've ever owned is my Paratilapia Polleni. Favorite South American would be Hoplarchus Psittacus and favorite central Amphilophus Sagittae.
