We have a sitsuation here on MFK where a member who has a 14" silver arowana has decided to give him up for adoption. Please see the following thread;
http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63214

We have another member that is willing to adopt and has the appropriate tank for it. How many members here would be willing to give a couple of bucks to help with the shipping charges.

This is a thread to help get things started so please post comments and suggestions that are constructive. If you feel the need to flame, then go to and READ the original post listed above. If you still see reason for flaming then post it there.

Thank you all here at MFK and good luck to Meiling and Ethnics with this venture.

Thanks to all, thanks for your input. Please read the original thread before passing judgement, this is necessary, well I'll just say it instead of hiding it, my issue isn't that I bought an Aro and now it's getting to big, blah blah.

I love my Aro but I'm very sick and this next year have a tremendous medical battle I have to fight, and if I don't make it, I want my Aro to have a good home.

Your responses and kindness have blown me away. I hope Neo reads this and knows what a teriffic bunch of MFK'rs he has!

Long Live the Aro's!

Mei:)

If you don't want to answer this, then that it is ok. But, do you mind telling us what happened with your "medical battle"

I don't mean to be rude, and if I am, I am sorry.

Exactly how much would the shipping be.

In the origianl post shipping looks to be between $70 and $200 dollars, with the $200 dollar option being a better sitsuation.

Personally question asked on pulbic forums are innappropriate and better suited in PMs.

This would be a gift and not a donation(as if it was going to a non profit organization) $200 bucks is a small amount if there is alot of support.

Please post comments and suggestions that would help this.

i am the one recieving the aro from mei. i was already in need of a 3rd aro, and mei is binded in a situation where she needs someone to care for hers. i have the tank space, knowledge/skill to care for it, but jus dont have the funds at the moment to pay for the shipping especially when it cost double or tripple then silvers locally. so im more doing this for her, and for the aro. if ur willing to help, thanks, if not a simple good luck with our journey shows u care. again this is non profit, mei is not making money off this and neither am i. we are doing it for the sole purpose of giving the aro a great new home and a long life to live.

bderick, thanks man. me and mei really appreciate it.

Good luck with the venture, guys.. :)

Mei, I am with you., you know it.:)

That's Ted. I work with Ted to rescue fishes. I responded to the thread and asked Meiling to email me if she needs more info.
