Fungus? Or normal for fast growing?

plecos will usually stop slime sucking if they get another food they enjoy. They start because of hunger usually. Try giving them some cucumber or something tasty and feed them more..but if it continues at all just get them out of there.

some salt will keep it from getting infected, some stresscoat will help the slimecoat recover

That is most definitely 100% slime coat removal from your Pleco/s.
Separate them ASAP, or you will very very soon have a dead Bichir.

No, once Plecos have a taste for slime coat, it never goes away. Gets worse in-fact.
 
Sad day today! Got rid of my pleco today saw him suck on a couple different fish. Bummed he had to go.. Had him for 3 yrs.
The guy at the LFS traded me for a little guy tho... And while I was there I found a oddball CL!
